[about] REX Rex is probably the most complex character in Over the Rainbow or in most other Korean dramas for that matter. (Purely my opinion of course). His rise to stardom was quick, but unfulfilling as he's stuck in contract he hates, unable to write/produce/perform his own music and has to stick to an image he doesn't like, forced upon him by the very company that made his dream come true. As the drama progresses we start to see a very different person develop. As Rex develops feelings for Sang Mi through the series and as he goes out on his own with his music we see a vulnerability that we don't see in the first couple of episodes. Without getting to much into it (ie spoiling it for those who have not seen it) Rex becomes more human to the viewer, more real and more likeable. Why did I name the fanlisting CHARISMATIC? To truly understand that you really have to watch Hwan Hee in his role as Rex. That is the perfect word to describe the character of Rex and I am not the only one who thinks so...(nchristi, curly carrot, pandapop). Over the Rainbow OTR follows the almost tragic lives of people trying to achieve their dreams in the deceiving, but glamorous music industry. Hee Soo aspires to be a singer. Hyuk Joo and his friends called by the name of 'Gangster' want to follow their dream of dancing and Rex is already fulfilling his dream of being a singer, but is stuck with a company that doesn't allow him any freedom. The drama follows these characters on their journeys of making their dreams come true. But sometimes living your dream isn't all it is cracked up to be as Hee Soo, Hyuk Joo, Rex and even stylist Sang Mi soon realize. Friendships are put to the test, dreams are crushed and hearts are broken. Can true love, friendship and pure courage triumph? Fanlistings A fanlisting is a grouping of people from many countries who all have one thing in common...they are fans.
